Description
The USBR, Blue Mesa Dam and Power Plant has a requirement to replace two existing 370 ACFM air compressors. The two compressors supply the station service air system for the Blue Mesa Dam and Power Plant located on the Gunnison River near Gunnison, CO. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Parts 12 and 13.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations as a full and open requirement. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement. Sullair 5500VB Compressor or equivalent. To be considered equivalent, the compressor shall meet the following requirements: *75HP 3 phase/60 HZ/480volt AC heavy duty variable frequency drive. *Compressor must be Water Cooled *Variable speed drive that adjusts output to meet continuous air demand *Rotary Screw Compressor *Must provide less than one parts per million (PPM) fluid carry over to compressed air. *100 PSI nominal air pressure *Operating range from ~80 PSI to ~105 PSI, *Minimum Capacity: not less than 350 ACFM Capacity per each compressor. *Maximum capacity: not greater than 400 ACFM Capacity per each compressor. *Compressor must fit through/pass through crane access hatch without disassembly, access hatch dimensions 7' X 10' *Compressor must fit through/pass through doorway without disassembly, doorway dimensions 82 inches high X 54 inches wide. Compressors cannot exceed dimensions. *Compressor room dimensions, 2 compressors must fit in space not to exceed 16' x 16' with 9' ceilings (approximate) *Compressors must have factory approved lifting points for lifting compressor with crane *Oil Flooded *Minimum 8,000-hour compressor lubricant *Non-varnishing, Biodegradable lubricant *Compressor must be installed in original equipment manufacturer sound reducing enclosure. *Compressor must be equipped with fully sealed spill protection/containment to provide environmental protection from oil leaks. *Operating noise level at 72db or below *Minimum Intake air filter efficiency of 9900% *All inlet and outlet water and air piping connections must be national pipe thread (NPT) *Must include integrated/integral soft start package, if required, for operation. *Modern electronic control that provides: oAutomated lead/lag for equalizing run time oAdjustable load/unload set-points oRemote monitoring/control oAlarming to include air filter trouble *Complies with NEMA 12 requirements. *Minimum 5-year warranty covering air end, motor, air/fluid receiver, fluid cooler and after cooler Delivery Vendor shall include pricing of freight on board destination (FOBD) to the US Bureau of Reclamation, Curecanti Warehouse, located at 1330 East Oak Grove Road, Montrose, Colorado 81401. All deliveries by the Contractor shall take place between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday. Delivery by the Contractor outside of these hours must have prior approval of the Contracting Officer.
