- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1903/FAR 13.501(a)/Sole Source (including brand name) acquisitions to Stratasys, Inc. located in Eden Prairie, MN., Stratasys, Inc. being both the sole manufacturer and holder of specific patents that makes Fortus 900 FDM 3-D printer system. Stratasys is the inventor of FDM, and sole provider of production scale, commercial-grade FDM Additive Manufacturing systems, material, and service is the only equipment that meets the Government's requirements. The Government requires a 3-D printer system that has a large extensive build range to streamline printing of models/prototypes from design through manufacturing for research testing purposes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 2:00 P.M. CT on 20 Aug 2018. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
