Description
Attachment II: Answers to Questions #1 The Federal Bureau of Prisons' (BOP) has created a Request for Information (RFI) to seek an entity to provide information that will allow the BOP to identify and assess technologies and/or systems that use multi-factor authentication (e.g. fingerprint, facial recognition, Personal Identification Verification (PIV), etc.) for the purpose of validating authorized users physical access to secured areas. The BOP employs numerous security measures to secure access to its facilities. The solutions should be comprehensive and compatible with use in a correctional facility. Installation of the system must be securable with a tamper-resistant housing ensuring the system's effectiveness and functionality can be maintained. Information provided by responsive vendors will be used to further refine the BOP's specifications for the eventual solicitation/acquisition for such a system. Interested parties shall not be reimbursed for any costs related to the development and submission of information in response to this RFI. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. Please see attached document for answers to questions Attachment List: Attachment I: Request for Information (RFI) Attachment II: Answers to Questions #1 Please be advised, the due date for responses to the RFI is extended to Thursday, August 16, 2018.
