- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD (NAWCADPAX) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Seattle Safety LLC located in Kittanning, PA for the upgrade to their existing 12" HYGE crash simulation sled. NAWCADPAX desires to modernize the current system, gain finer control over sled acceleration, improve pulse change turnaround times, and increase thrust capacity from the current 1.0MN system. The Government intends to procure the above item under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, or from only one or limited number of responsible source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which, if received in a timely manner, shall be considered by the agency. All vendors must be registered in Systems for Award Management (SAM) Database. The internet website is https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. It is mandatory to register with the SAM as your DUNs Number (Data Universal Numbering System) and your CAGE CODE (Commercial and Government Entity) code will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense. In addition, all invoices will be electronically submitted in the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF); information will be available in subsequent order. Please include CAGE CODE, DUNs Number and payment terms in your response. Responses should reference N68335-18-Q-0184. Responses must be received with 15 days of publication of this notice.
