- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to negotiate and award a order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) SPE4A1-17-G-0008 to General Electric Corporation (GE) on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract will be for the procurement of two (2) CT7-8A6 Engines with metal shipping containers, associated control hardware, and performance baseline technical data required to correlate the Government's test cell (Correlation data). GE is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, expertise, and the necessary proprietary technical data required to perform this effort. A sole source acquisition will be procured under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements". THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract.
