Description

The Indian Health Service, Western Oregon Service Unit intends to issue a supplemental modification to add 700 hours to Contract Number HHS1248201500008C. This contract is for a critical need to expand therapy and the availability for addressing the needs of highly acute and at risk American Indian and Alaska Native adolescents that attend the Chemawa Indian High School. This contract has already been competed and has a total of 4 one year options. We will be exercising option year 3. The RFQ number is RFQ 1501 dated July 23, 2015. The current contract is a firm fixed price and the option years per hourly rate are priced out. The hourly rate for this modification will remain the same. The scope for the modification is to add an additional 700 hours to the option year for providing adequate remedies to address risk factors of suicide, substance abuse, and their debilitating behavioral health conditions to acute and at-risk American Indian and Alaska native adolescents. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. The Government does not intent to fund the development of qualification of other sources for fulfilling this requirement. However; all proposal received with the response due date (3) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract will be based upon the responses received. Responses to this notice are considered solely for the purpose of determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
