Description

This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Background: Memphis VAMC, located at 1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104, has a need to replace its 26 sets of various Behavioral Health patient furniture to modernize and improve facility standards and patient care and treatment. Market research so far has shown a limited number of large and small businesses in this industry. Looking preferably for any Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB/VOSB) but currently seeking any business-large or small business- who can perform and deliver a project like this. Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. Such methods are competitive (unrestricted or set-aside) or non-competitive (sole-source). NAICS code: 337127 and sized standard is 500 employees. NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry https://www.va.gov/osdbu/. Project requirements: Brand name or Equal to: *Note: Installation would include removal and haul-away of existing furniture along with installation and removal of all packing material for the new furniture. Anticipated period of performance: Single commodity buy. No options. Other important considerations: Sets and all components must be new, not refurbished, used, or grey-market type. Each item must conform to FDA, hospital Joint Commission, and BIFMA standards for function, quality, cleanability, durability, and maintenance regarding Mental or Behavioral Health facilities. No wood components or wood elements of any kind internally or externally, and seamless joints as facility had prior issues with bedbugs. Patient furniture, particularly in-patient furniture, should be durable, easily maintained, and abuse resistant with tamper proof fasteners. Furniture should not have sharp edges or surfaces that could be used as an anchor point. **If vendor has another device meeting similar specs and features to the already given brands/models, please submit appropriate documentation for review. ** Capability statement /Information sought: Response to this announcement: (1) Shall not to exceed 5 pages in Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word format, and should include the following information: (2) The respondents DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., SDVOSB/VOSB, etc,) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code; (3) Applicable contract vehicles (i.e. GSA/FSS/BPA, etc.); (4) Letter from OEM that offeror is an authorized distributor, dealer, or installer (5) Any Product Brochures with specs, warranty, and delivery times (6) Usual Shipping Methods i.e. FOB Origin or Destination and whether separate freight costs need to be factored.
