- Brand Name Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio Randolph, TX, issues this Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm-fixed-priced purchase order to Phillips Corporation, 7390 Coca Cola Dr. Hanover MD. The requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001: Quantity one (1) each Haas VF7 Vertical Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Machining Center with Options. Delivery is FOB Destination to the 502d Trainer Development Squadron, JBSA-Randolph, TX and includes installation and removal of old machine. The particulars of the brand name determination are attached. Award to Phillips is due to the company being designated in writing as the sole distributor of Haas CNC Machine Tools to U.S. Government Department of Defense facilities. This is not a Request for Proposal or Quotation and no solicitation package will be issued. However, interested parties who believe they can meet the requirement are invited to submit written documentation that clearly and concisely supports any capability declaration. Submit responses to vivian.fisher@us.af.mil on or before 22 August 2018, 2:00PM Central Time. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. However, a determination by the government not to compete the action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
