- The 11 th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland intends to award solicitation F1D0218187AW01 as a simplified acquisition on a sole source basis to Motorola Solutions in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source is capable of responding due to the fact that Motorola Solutions is the current source for coding and encryption used to meet mission requirements IAW AFMAN 17-1302-0 as well as DODI 4650-10. Any modification of the current peripherals within the communication infrastructure will cause adverse downtime in mission capability and increased cost to the government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334220 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose if determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparation of any capabilities statements or documents prepared for this notice. NOTE: If documents are sent via e-mail, the contractor will be responsible for validating Government receipt by contacting the Contracting Administrator at charles.n.maddox.civ@mail.mil. No solicitation is available and telephone request for information will not be taken.
