- EL MALPIAS RANGER STATION ROOF The U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Albuquerque District Office is proposing the roof replacement of the El Malpais Ranger Station to include but not limited to, installation of approximately 3450 sq. ft. of a combination of shingles and "torchdown" style rubber underlayment. The contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. Measurements given in the Statement of Work are for planning purposes, actual measurements for work to be done are the responsibility of the Contractor. El Malpais Ranger Station is located approximately 13 miles southeast of Grants New Mexico, from I-40 exit 89 onto New Mexico highway 117 and go south approximately 8 miles, ranger station will be on East side of Highway 117. Job site is shown on the attached maps. A site visit is scheduled and attendance is recommended. This job requires that the existing roof on the ranger station be replaced/repaired. Contractor shall design, furnish, and install all pertinent materials. Contractor is responsible for preparation/demolition of existing roof as determined by the design. All work shall comply with Federal, State and local codes and standards. In accordance to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.5, this is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 238160, Roofing Contractors and the size standards is $15.00. The disclosure of magnitude, as required by FAR Part 36.204 is between $25,000 and $100,000. The evaluation will be competed on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://sam.gov. The competitive solicitation 140L2218R0004 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) with an open date of August 15, 2018 and a close date of August 30, 2018 1700 ET.
