- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT FROM A SINGLE SOURCE Services, Pyxis Maintenance and Software Support THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. This is a notice of intent to solicit CareFusion Solutions, LLC for preventative maintenance and software support for Pyxis Equipment. Services include all labor, equipment, tools, material, supervision and other items and services necessary to provide remote support services for all Pyxis products on a 24/7/365 basis through a technical support center, adjust and replace non-consumable Pyxis equipment parts, perform onsite preventative maintenance of Pyxis equipment, and schedule and deploy CareFusion-approved software patches. Services also include troubleshooting and guaranteed 8-hour response time for onsite support services, as well as provide services for database backup and recovery, operating system patches, updates and security, and the applicable relational database server for integral software deployed using CareFusion s Virtual Machine technology. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501, the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. Classification Code: J065 NAICS: 811219 Period of Performance: October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019, with four, one-year options. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed. Any responses received by August 29, 2018 12:00 PM Eastern will be considered by the Government. If the Department of Veterans Affairs does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement by the afore mentioned date, in accordance with FAR 13.501, efforts to obtain these services will be continued with CareFusion Solutions, LLC. A fixed priced contract will be issued without any additional notices being posted. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No cost to the government will arise as a result of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the government use of such information. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response.
