Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Tecan U.S, Inc. for PosID Upgrade for EVO 150. The PosID3 Module is the only barcode scanner product fully compatible with the TECAN EVO 150 Liquid handler, which is the instrument receiving the upgrade. The PosID3 Module has the ability to scan carriers, tubes and plates along the entire deck of the TECAN EVO 150 Liquid handler system currently in the lab. This integrated device is easily controlled through the EVOware software and allows added process control and traceability to workflow. It is the Government's belief that the PosID3 Module is the only barcode scanner product fully compatible with the TECAN EVO 150 Liquid handler, and the only scanner that can be mounted to the TECAN deck and be controlled from the Tecan software. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms that believe they can provide this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification, as well as, a capability statement to contracting office by Aug 21, 2018, 12:00pm. Information furnished shall include enough detail information to allow the government to perform a proper evaluation. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results. Responses by Facsimile (Fax) will NOT be accepted. This procurement action will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.320-1 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a) (1). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS Code is 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing). Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All vendors must be registered with System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) under the above NACIS code prior to award date.
