Industry Day Attachment PMA-209 2018 Common Avionics Industry Day Announcement The Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) intends to conduct an Industry Day Event in order to provide an opportunity for Industry to learn about Government plans and needs for future Naval Avionics systems and capabilities. The event will also provide an opportunity for Industry to present briefings that outline their potential contributions that can address technology gaps and Fleet operational capability priorities. This opportunity is open to all companies that have innovative ideas and mature, cost-conscious solutions that can assist Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in supporting the future effectiveness of Naval Aviation. This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) notice for planning purposes only and is issued for assessing potential Government/Industry acquisition program partnerships to consider for enhancing future Naval Aviation capabilities. This announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quote (RFQ) or an indication that the Government will contract for any of the items and/or services identified in response to this notice. No solicitation documents exist at this time. Participation in this RFI is neither mandatory nor requisite to establishing future contractor participation in any potential future solicitations or contracts. INDUSTRY DAY EVENT The PMA-209 Air Combat Electronics Industry Day Event will be held September 18-19, 2018. The event will begin with Government presentations at Precise Systems, Inc., 3 rd Floor, located at 22290 Exploration Park Drive, Lexington Park, Maryland 20653. Check-in starts at 7:30 am. Government presentations will be held from 8:30 - 11:30 am. Industry presentations will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 pm on September 18 and 8:00 - 4:00 pm on September 19 at Precise Systems, Inc., 3 rd Floor, located at 22290 Exploration Park Drive, Lexington Park, Maryland 20653. Government representation will consist of PMA-209 and other relevant NAVAIR program office and competency organization personnel that could benefit from the material being presented. Industry representatives are encouraged to attend the Government brief session whether they are providing an Industry Brief or not. REGISTRATION AND INDUSTRY BRIEF SUBMISSION To attend or brief at the PMA-209 2018 Air Combat Electronics Industry Day Event, please follow the guidelines below. Registration and Industry Brief consideration requests that are non-proprietary and do not need to be controlled with distribution markings shall be emailed to the following contacts no later than August 31, 2018: Maj. To attend the Government brief and request to brief, please use "PMA-209 Industry Day Registration/Request to Brief" in the subject line of the email. Industry Briefs provide companies an opportunity to inform PMA-209 and relevant NAVAIR/PMA personnel on how their organization's products or services can assist with addressing these Fleet priorities. To request to be considered as a presenter to the Government team, include a one-page abstract of the topics that your company would like to brief that are relevant to Attachment 1. Due to time constraints, the Government will review and select presenters based on relevancy to Fleet needs and topic diversity. The Government does not anticipate enabling virtual attendance. CLASSIFIED INFORMATION Do not submit any classified information in response to this Industry Day. Should your company desire to present information that is classified, please contact the PMA-209 points of contact above to discuss further. If the Government decides a classified briefing is required to understand the idea, appropriate measures will be taken to allow for the classified material to be presented in an appropriate facility. INDUSTRY BRIEF DISTRIBUTION Each briefer is responsible for marking their material accordingly to reflect desired distribution control or assertions that data is proprietary. PMA-209 and other NAVAIR Contract Support (CSS) personnel will be in attendance. If Industry representative's object to PMA-209 and/or NAVAIR CSS participation in the one-on-one briefs, please bring it to the attention of the enclosed points of contact. Maj. Official notification of selections will be completed by September 7, 2018. The Strategic Planning Group coordinator(s) will work with company representatives to determine briefing times. INDUSTRY BRIEF LOGISTICS Industry Briefs will run on a strictly monitored schedule. Briefers are requested to plan on 20 minutes of briefing time and 5 minutes of questions and answers, leaving a 5-minute margin for wrap up. It is the presenter's responsibility to ensure all materials are marked with handling instructions or limitations for their materials, such as permission to share information. Attendance at the scheduled Industry Day Event and any discussions/release of information is strictly voluntary. Any costs incurred in preparing the topics and briefs will be at the presenter's expense. Lunch will not be provided. There are several dining options close by. POINTS OF CONTACT Maj.
