- Description
- Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) intends to issue a Task Request to NAMC for Autonomous Ground Vehicle Reference Architecture (AGVRA) under the Ground Vehicle Systems Other Transaction Agreement (GVS OTA), W15QKN-17-9-1025-TR12. Ground Vehicle Systems Other Transaction Agreement (GVS OTA) was awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 2371b, Section 815 of the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act, P.L 114-92. TARDEC intends to collaborate with the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) and its members in order to develop AGVRA, a virtual model prototype for reference architectures. The overarching goal of AGVRA is to establish a set of guidelines to enable the Army robotics community to fulfill the Army's Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) commonality objectives by establishing an affordable means to deliver advanced capability to the Warfighter, by utilizing architectural best practices and standards. The Government is proposing to enter into a new multi-year task request with the NAMC in order to take advantage of the OTA provisions that uniquely allow for close industry/Government collaboration and to reach out to as many interested industry participants as effectively possible via the NAMC membership. This Special Notice is for informational purposes only. A prototype project will not be awarded in response to this announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC), and industry in general, advanced notification of Government intent to release the Task Request to the NAMC. The Task Request will be issued to the NAMC's Administrative Agent, the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS), who will then issue the request to the NAMC. For information on the NAMC and/or how to become a member, visit the following website: http://defensemobility.org/
