INTENT TO SOLICIT ONLY ONE SOURCE The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government is soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The name of the company the Government intends to award a contract to is DSM Dyneema, 1101 Highway 27 South, Stanley, NC 28164-2206. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date and time of this solicitation. (ii) The solicitation number is W911QX-18-Q-0101. This acquisition is issued as a notice of intent to sole source. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular AC Number/Effective Date: 2005-99 / 16 July 2018 (iv) The associated NAICS code is 314999. (v) The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable): CLIN 0001Qty: One (1) Unit: Each1500 Linear Yards of Dyneema HB26 Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) Reinforced Ballistic Prelam Material (vi) Description of requirements: C.1 Background and objective The Army Research Laboratory's Weapons and Materials Research Directorate requires 1500 Linear Yards of Dyneema HB26 Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) Reinforced Ballistic Prelam Material. C.2 Requirement Material shall meet the current Military Detail (MIL DTL) 32398, Class C Specification. (vii) Delivery shall be made to US Army Research Laboratory, Logistics Warehouse, Building 321, 6375 Johnson Road Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005.
