- RIPARIAN AREA CUT STUMP TREATMENT This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 140L2218R0007 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) with an open date of August 24, 2018 and a close date of September 10, 2018. The solicitation documents and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-99. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 541620 with a size standard of $15.00. The Rio Puerco Field Office has a requirement for the following: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) desires to remove Tamarisk and Russian olive from the Rio Puerco and Rio Salado Riparian Areas. The goal is to eliminate the noxious weeds and increase native vegetation in the Riparian zone. The project is located at T. 19 N., R. 2 W., Sec.6,7, 18 and 19 in Sandoval County, New Mexico, at the riparian area of the Rio Puerco, and T. 15 N. R. 1 W., Sec 12 in Sandoval County, New Mexico at the riparian area of the Rio Salado. The project areas are a variable mix of salt cedar, Russian olive, native cottonwoods and willow trees on relatively flat terrain. The boundaries are identified by orange flagging. Portions of the project area boundary follow a floodplain and is naturally marked by large banks. The project is estimated at 114 acres in size. The project areas are approximately 55 and 25 miles north of Bernalillo. Access is facilitated by US Highway 550 and two track roads. Access to the project area will be from the above mentioned roads. All access into the project will be by existing two track roads or by foot; foot travel lengths would be less than 0.50 miles to the outlying portions of the project area, with the majority under 0.25 miles.
