This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued This synopsis/solicitation 1305M2-18-Q-NWWG-0079 constitutes a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-99-1. This solicitation is conducted as Full and Open Competition (no set-aside) and the associated NAICS code is 334419- Other Electronic Component Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 750 employees. A firm fixed-price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for one base year of performance and four one-year option periods will be awarded from this solicitation. The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Region Acquisition Division located in Kansas City, is seeking to purchase repair and refurbishment services on klystron electron tubes for the Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXRAD) for the National Weather Service (NWS) National Reconditioning Center (NRC) in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) included herein. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services, and facilities to perform klystron evaluations and repairs. The Contractor shall evaluate, repair, test for suitable functionality, and return the NEXRAD klystrons to the specified operational characteristics outlined in specification (Drawing) 1213614 Revision C included herein. All offerors must be certified through the NWS Radar Operations Center to perform repairs on this equipment. Please see the attached documents for additional information. The closing date of this solicitation is hereby extended. The solicitation will now close at 2:00 PM Central Time, September 28, 2018 (09/28/2018). All responses are due by the updated closing date. Contract award will be made in Fiscal Year 2019 (starting October 1, 2018), please see the FAR Clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds, included in the solicitation.
