- Description
- The USDA-ARS located in Maricopa, Arizona has a requirement for the replacement, cleaning, lubricating and adjusting of the Von Duprin panic hardware on the exterior doors at this location. USDA-ARS Agricultural Research Center 21881 N Cardon Lane Maricopa, AZ 85138 The Contractor shall provide all professional services necessary and such required services shall be in accordance with the requirements as described herein and on attached contract documents. The successful contractor will supply all labor, materials and equipment to make the necessary repairs/replacement of the panic hardware on these doors. Background: The requested areas are over 12 years old and have numerous broken Rod Latches. Contractor shall verify door count and all necessary parts needed. All work must be coordinated with the COR (Harry Gardner). This request is for the replacement of seven (7) Von Duprin electrified CVR exit only device with vertical rods (VONEL3547A-EO US26D) and two (2) Von Duprin Electrified 35 series VONEL35A-EO US26D on the exterior doors. PART ONE: • Remove existing panic hardware from 7 exterior doors and replace with New Von Duprin electrified CVR exit only device with vertical rods (VONEL3547A-EO US26D panic hardware to match existing. • Remove existing panic hardware from 2 exterior doors and replace with New Von Duprin electrified 35 series VONEL35A-EO US26D to match existing. • Labor and Installation: 1. Installation of 7 Von Duprin vertical rod electrified push bar exit devices 2. Installation of 2 single point Von Duprin push bar exit devices 3. Servicing, repairing and cleaning of 8 vertical rod pushbar exit devices Warranty: • Include a 2 year manufacturer's warranty on all equipment. • Include a 2 year warranty on service and labor. Site Visit: Contracting Officer will set the site visit date and time Site visit location: USDA-ARS 21881 N. Cardon Lane, Maricopa, AZ 85138. Prospective bidders are to meet in the main lobby. Site visit will be conducted by: Harry Gardner- (602) 725-2123 Email - harry.gardner@ars.usda.gov The contractor shall be responsible for verifying site conditions, making quantity take offs, obtaining accurate measurement of existing conditions, and performing any act or operation which may be necessary to properly quote the work and complete the same as depicted and specified. Failure to verify the existing site conditions shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility to complete the work as required. Installation: It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to complete the work in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and Industry Standards. Additional procedures and materials may be required than is indicated herein. If any item specified herein conflicts with applicable codes and recommendation, the Contractor shall bring it to the attention of the Facility Manager (Harry Gardner) for resolution. Supervision: The Contractor will designate one supervisor for satisfactory supervision on the contract work. The Contractor or his/her on-site representative shall be available at all times while the contract work is in progress. Conduct of workers: The personnel employed by the Contractor shall be capable employees qualified in this type of work. As stated elsewhere, the Contractor shall be responsible for, among other things, all damage to the government property resulting from the operations. Cleanup: The construction site shall be kept clean and free of debris at all times. Upon completion of project, and prior to final inspection, the Contractor shall remove from the premises all unused material, trash, and debris resulting from the work to the satisfaction of the COR. Sanitation facilities: The contractor may use the government sanitary facilities during the execution of this project. It is required that the contractor use these facilities in a responsible manner. Government Furnished Utilities: The Government will furnish electrical and water utilities for the contractors' use during the contract period so long as the contractor uses these efficiently and economically. Per FAR 52.215-1(c)(A), late submissions will not be considered for award. The anticipated date of award is September 30th, 2018.
