- Replace/Upgrade Med Gas and Headwalls within 1A Patient Wing in Building 203 Construction Services for Project #662-17-008 Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 21 will be issuing an Invitation for Bid for a Specialty Trade Contractor. The project will be located at VA San Francisco Health Care. The intention of this project is to upgrade medical air, medical vacuum and oxygen supply, and replace the patient bed service walls within the Medical/Oncology/Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Unit. The project will be divided into two (2) main phases. The first phase will consist of installing Isolation/shut-off valves (S.O.V.) and maintenance valves for medical air, oxygen and vacuum. The second phase of the project will consist of installing patient headwalls in designated rooms and installing an area alarm system. The duration of this project is 360 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued. The scope will include providing all materials, labor and supervision needed to perform demolition, reconfiguration, replacement, installation and commissioning as required by this scope and the technical specifications. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, and the small business size standard is $15.0M. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be a total Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) set-aside. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available on or about September 7, 2018.
