This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Department of Veteran Affairs is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The Government is seeking Veteran Owned Small Businesses ONLY who can provide the following supplies and services for the William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison WI: STATEMENT OF WORK BACKGROUND: The furniture under this order consists of sit to stand desks, Knoll Dividends Workstations & files that will be adding to existing furniture pieces to complete this furniture request. We created a mock-up workstation (Workstation #25 / shaded on plan) utilizing extra components from a past project to have staff review for size and layout. We are now ready to add the additional stations to connect with the first mock-up. This furniture should match our hospital desk standard and fit the ergonomic requirements. These are items specified to materially, functionally and aesthetically fit the needs. SCOPE: Finalize, design & component specifications, & installation drawings and timelines for review & approval by VA. The vendor will receive the components from the manufacturer and install all items which must meet or exceed the specified manufacturers per the following technical selection criteria. Weight capacity of the sit to stand desks should be 265lbs. 5 year warranty on the controls. Electric bases shall have the extended height range of 212.6 47.8 @ 1-2 per second. GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified. Corner height adjustable desks shall not have floor cross-bars that interfere with leg room. The leg style shall have flat feet to allow mobile pedestals to roll over to gain more leg space. Mobile pedestals shall have swivel casters on all four corners, and one bottom drawer caster mounted in the center for stability when lower drawer is in the open position. Knoll warranty- limited lifetime warranty INCLUDING LABOR. DELIVERABLE/INSTALLATION SCHEDULE: The contractor will provide safe and timely delivery and installation of all materials as outlined. Only Knoll items on GSA schedule will be considered. Finishes and materials are to match the described. Installation will be in 3 Phases performed during normal business hours: Monday through Friday 8am-4pm except when approved in advance by the Contracting Officer. Installation details: We have 3 areas that we would like to have installed one week apart, for us to shift staff around.
