- The Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), Groton, CT awarded a Firm Fixed Price Contract, N62789-18-P-0036 to Electric Boat Corp to provide 2 Computer Tablets for the submarine. The Statutory Authority Permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2)- Unusual and Compelling Urgency. In accordance with Far 5.202(a)(2) a synopsis had not been prepared as the Navy's need for the specified, unique tablets was of an unusual and compelling urgency. The tablets were needed right away to avoid schedule impacts.
