- Description
- Amendment No. 0001 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for: Matagorda Ship Channel, Texas, Peninsula to Point Comfort in Matagorda and Calhoun Counties, Texas, Pipeline Dredging. The work consists of Schedule No. 1 - Pipeline dredging of the Matagorda Ship Channel and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway Intersection. Approximately 1,905,740 cubic yards for the southern portion of the Matagorda Ship Channel from Sta. 12+000 to 65+000; Option No. 1 - Dredging approx. 1,852,518 CY. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 105 calendar days. Completion time for Option 1 if exercised, 92 calendar days. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $3,643.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall commence work within (10) calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as "Unrestricted" full and open competition for both large and small businesses. The Solicitation will be Issued on or about 3 August 2018. Response date is 11 September 2018 @ 2:00 PM (Electronic bids only via AMRDEC Safe). The estimated award date for this project is September 2018.
