Description
Combo- Parachute Canopies for SOCOM This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial supply and/or service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is FA481418TF048.This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses. The 6th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Florida, requires the following: DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) requires parachute canopies with the desired design/logo. CLIN 0001- Performance Design (PD) Modified Storm Main Canopy OR EQUAL [10 EACH] Part Number: TK-230-0003219 7 EACH in size 230 and 3 EACH in size 210. Cells two thru six should be black with Gold Letters that say SOCOM on Bottom Skin. Cells one and seven gold color. Letters "Para-Commandos" on skirt on each side in black letters. Center "A" Line should be RED, all others standard. With exception of center "A" line, all A and B lines should be cascaded. Each should come with retractable (CRW) bridle. Each should come with a split slider. There should NOT be a PD Logo white panel on the skirts. A standard military flag bag must be attached. Except as detailed above, canopies should be identical to STORM 230, Serial Number TK-230-0003219 CLIN 0002- Performance Design (PD) Stilleto Canopy OR EQUAL [3 EACH] Part Number: ST-120-013829 3 EACH in size 135. Cells two thru eight should be black with Gold Letters that say SOCOM on Bottom Skin. Cells one and nine should be gold. Letters "Para-Commandos" on skirt on each side in black letters. PD Logo should not be on the canopy. Except as detailed above, canopy should be identical to PD Stilleto 120, Serial Number ST-120-013829 CLIN 0003- Performance Design (PD) Spectre Canopy OR EQUAL [5 EACH] Part Number: SP-150-009955 3 EACH in size 170 and 2 EACH in size 150. Cells two thru eight should be black with Gold Letters that say SOCOM on Bottom Skin. Cells one and nine should be gold. Letters "Para-Commandos" on skirt on each side in black letters. PD Logo should not be on the canopy. Except as detailed above, canopy should be identical to Spectre 150, Serial Number SP-150-009955 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-100 effective 22 Aug 2018, DFARS DPN 20180629 and AFFARS AFAC 2018-0525. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 314999, Parachutes manufacturing. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. All interested parties must submit pricing for all requested items. BASIS FOR AWARD: This is a brand name or equal requirement IAW FAR 52.211-6. Any Or Equal proposal received will be sent to the technical advisor for compatibility or functionality. Award will be made to the lowest priced quote deemed technically acceptable. The Government also reserves the right to make no award at all. Negotiation of price will be conducted to achieve a fair and reasonable price. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes.
