Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice The VA Greater Los Angeles Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center Healthcare System, 16111 Plummer St., North Hills, California 91343, has a requirement obtain construction services to modify the sidewalks from building 99 to building 20 and building 4. The Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center currently has no safe route for handicap pedestrians to travel from Building 99 to Building 20 and Building 4. Recently a patient in a motorized wheelchair was hit by a vehicle because he was travelling in the street and did not have the option of using a sidewalk and crosswalk. ADA compliant ramps, sidewalks, and crosswalks need to be installed to provide safe passage for pedestrians. A Firm-Fixed Price award is anticipated. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, certification, supervision, and materials necessary to perform all operations in connections with this order. Contractor shall perform work in strict accordance with the General Specifications, Statement of Work, schedule, and all other supporting documents for the construction project to modify the sidewalks from building 99 to building 20 and building 4 at VA Greater Los Angeles Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center Healthcare System, 16111 Plummer St., North Hills, California 91343, in accordance with items specified herein. Prior to providing a proposal on the project, contractor shall refer to and provide construction services based on the contract documents including drawings and specifications, visit the job site, and familiarize with the site existing conditions and constraints. Temporary System provisions will be made to keep areas operational during operations. Any questions will be directed in writing through the VA West Los Angeles engineer for review and response. The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be Less than $25,000. The Period of Performance for this project will be 90 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the Veterans First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this project is 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. Interested Offerors must be listed in the VetBiz.gov Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov, and currently registered in the System for Award Management, www.sam.gov. Solicitation documents, including technical specifications and project drawings, will be available electronically on or about August 29, 2018 at www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested bidders should search for solicitation 36C25818R0362 to access solicitation documents and any amendments. A Ninety-day bid acceptance period will be required. payment bond will be required. A Site Visit will be held, date/time/location to be provided in the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to cancel this Solicitation, either before or after the closing date
