Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 intends to procure on a sole-sourced basis, on behalf of the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina, for the provision Immuno-histochemistry reagents and consumables with Roche Diagnostics Corporation, 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. These consumable supplies are being purchased for use with Government-owned BenchMark Special, BenchMark XT, and Symphony S instrumentation at the Medical Center. NAICS 325413 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for product for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement must submit information about their capabilities no later than 8:00 a.m. EDT, August 31, 2018 to darla.hurlock@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will nominally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information submitted nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All information submitted in response to this Notice become property of the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
