This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the following: The interest and capability of any small business, veteran-owned small business (VOSB), or service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) vendors able to provide the brand-name or equal equipment listed below (comparable products not acceptable); Size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing for the proposed acquisition. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking potential sources for the following Cole-Parmer Digi-Sense Digital Thermometers, brand-name or equal, for the Battle Creek VA Medical Center, 5500 Armstrong Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037. All items shall be new; refurbished/used items are not acceptable. Requirements (Brand-Name or Equal): Cole-Parmer Digi-Sense Traceable General-Purpose Digital Thermometer with Calibration; 1 Wire Probe Item #EW-94460-70 Qty: 325 Features: Meter Measurement Type: Digital Indicator Number of Probe Channels: 1 Min Temperature ( ° F): -58 Max Temperature ( ° F): 158 Min Temperature ( ° C): -50 Max Temperature ( ° C): 70 Resolution: 1 ° Alarm: Yes Display Type: 0.75" Display No. of Probe(s) Included: 1 Probe Diameter (in): 0.1875 Probe Length (in): 0 Battery: AA Battery (1) Description: Traceable ® General-Purpose Digital Thermometer with Calibration; 1 Wire Probe Easily monitor temperature in liquids, baths, air/gas, incubators, refrigerators, or freezers. Keep track of temperature conditions overnight or for any time period minimum and maximum temperatures are stored until the memory is cleared. Models feature a triple display that simultaneously shows current, minimum, and maximum temperatures. Set high and low alarms in 1 ° increments; alarm sounds when temperature rises above or falls below set points, and continues to sound even if temperature returns to nonalarm range. Thermometer reads ambient temperature or probe temperature. Probe is attached to a 10-ft (3 m) micro-cable that permits a door to close on it; probe and cable are both submersible. Mount meter with included Velcro ® strips, wall-mount slots, or use flip-open stand on benchtop. Traceable ® products are calibrated to NIST-traceable standards and ready to use as soon as you receive it. Each product goes through an intense vetting process before it can carry the Traceable name, and it includes NIST-traceable certification. This means that a 17025-accredited calibration test lab has confirmed that the product meets or exceeds all stated specifications, saving you both time and money by not having to calibrate separately. NIST-traceable calibration also helps you meet quality standards and regulatory compliance for ISO, FDA, cGMP, VFC, CAP, CLIA and Joint Commission requirements. Models 94460-70 has a wire probe and designed for general-purpose applications.
