- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to purchase 150 High Efficiency Gas Adsorbers (HEGA)-TEDA (18") filters to R.S.E Incorporated, 51529 Birch St., New Baltimore, MI 48047-1588. The NAICS code is 333413 - Industrial and Commercial Fan and Blower and Air Purification Equipment Manufacturing. The size standard is 500 employees. The HEGA filters are used in the Chemical Agent Filter Systems (CAFS). These filters are used to prevent highly toxic gaseous contaminants from being released into the environment. Therefore, these filters must comply with IEST-RP-CC008.2 for High-efficiency Gas Phase Adsorber Cells and MIL-DTL-32101A, [Carbon, Activated, Impregnated, Copper-Silver-Zinc-Molybdenum-Triethylenediamine (ASZM-TEDA)]. Additionally, the filters must have been tested and certified by ECBC's Test, Reliability & Evaluation Branch. The proposed effort will be awarded on the basis of other than full and open competition pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2) as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-2 -- Unusual and Compelling Urgency. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
