- Description
- The Department of State, Ralph J. Bunche Library intends to issue a one year base contract with four single year option periods for a total of five years on a sole source basis with Energy Intelligence Group Inc. (EIG) located in New York NY. A continuing core mission of this department is to make assessments and analysis on global and country-specific emerging trends and events affecting worldwide oil markets and prices and their implications for the U.S. economy, businesses, and national security. The DOS is seeking to contract with EIG to obtain specialized energy-focused online proprietary tools, systems and database that enable DOS's analysts to complete their mission for conducting assessments, analysis and reporting. The Contractor shall provide the US Department of State with access to a specialized online and interactive research tool and various proprietary subscription materials.Energy Intelligence Premium includes access to Petroleum Intelligence Weekly, International Oil Daily, LNG Intelligence, World Gas Intelligence, and a number of other high-quality reporting services, 10 hours/year of consulting with EIG analysts, and data analytics feeds. EIP products provide outstanding, balanced, and extremely well-sourced reports on oil, natural gas, commodities trading, and political risks related to energy sector issues. EIP frequently provides same-day analysis of energy crises-dujour. Their coverage of issues such as JCPOA withdrawal, OPEC agreements, and the Libya crisis have been second to none, and far more accurate than product from other analyst firms. Five user accounts provide access to PAPD, ETR, and EDP, which ensures each office remains plugged into their respective equities. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
