Description
Brand Name Justification Request for Quote Purpose To fulfill the CLASS mission, hardware and/or software maintenance is required. Specifically, continued maintenance is required for IBM storage. Furthermore, maintenance is required to obtain firmware/software updates, security fixes/patches, and replacement equipment upon failure. Additional details are provided below regarding hardware/software that must be maintained and the associated period of performance. Scope IBM Storage Hardware Maintenance 9x5 Next Business Day (NBD) and Hard Disk Retention (HDDR) is required for supported hardware identified in Attachment 1, IBM Storage (Asheville NC), Attachment 2, IBM Storage (Boulder CO), Attachment 3, IBM Storage (Suitland MD). Technical Specifications IBM Storage Hardware Maintenance 9x5 Next Business Day (NBD) and Hard Disk Retention (HDDR) shall include the following: ● Email/Phone/Web Support - The vendor and/or maintenance provider shall provide email/phone/web support on a 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Furthermore, the vendor and/or maintenance provider shall provide access to highly skilled and knowledgeable technical support staff located in the United States. The vendor and/or maintenance provider shall make every reasonable effort to provide fast and efficient service (i.e., respond within 24 hours of opening a support ticket). ● Software Updates - The vendor and/or maintenance provider shall provide software updates for system software and/or software products, including minor and major releases. The vendor and/or maintenance provider shall provide the capability to allow Government support staff to download software updates, as required, or when directed by technical support staff. ● Hardware Replacement - The vendor and/or maintenance provider shall provide remote troubleshooting support (24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year) and advanced hardware replacement service, thus allowing the government to request a replacement unit be shipped prior to the return of the failed unit. The vendor and/or maintenance provider shall ship a replacement unit within 1-2 business days of notification. The vendor and/or maintenance provider shall pay for the return shipping cost of the failed unit.
