- Description
- This is Amendment no. 003 to the previously synopsized Request for Quotations for providing exhibit planning, design, fabrication, and installation of new exhibits to replace outdated and worn exhibit panels in Pearson Air Museum within Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Vancouver, WA. This amendment is necessary to provide additional questions/answers, as explained below, and to extend the response date. ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS/ANSWERS provided as follows: QUESTION 4: What is the available budget for this project? ANSWER 4: This question was addressed at time Amendment no. 2, in Attachment no. 6, Question 3, which stated the following: Neither the project budget amount or the Government's estimate can be disclosed. As stated in Attachment no. 1, Section 04 - Price Schedule, funds indeed, are limited. The intent is what gets awarded is what is available for this entire project - there is no budget available for post-award change orders. This is why alternative quotes are allowed. Quoters can submit more than one quote in case quoters want to present their "best of the best" at x-price vs. a mid-range or lower, more basic quote with less bells and whistles. NPS strongly encourages submitting an alternative low budget quote along with a standard quote that the quoter would normally submit for a project like this. QUESTION 5: Which Price Schedule Line Item should we use for Closeout/Warranty Phase costs? ANSWER 5: Closeout / Warranty costs can be included into the lump sum price for Price Schedule Line Item 3. QUESTION 6: We noticed that Price Schedule Line Item 4 for Site Visits to Pearson Air Musuem is only included as a statement without a line to write in our price. Which of the three price schedule line items should include the cost of the three site visits? ANSWER 6: The first two site visits should be included into the lump sum price quoted for Line Item 1. The third and final site visit should be included into the lump sum price quoted for Price Schedule Line Item 3. QUESTION 7: Although Price Schedule Line tem 4 directs the contractor to assume three site visits, we noticed that Attachment 3-Scope of Work indicates seven site visits. Which correct - the Scope of Work, or the Price Schedule? ANSWER 7: There are only three site visits for this project. The inclusion of seven site visits in the Scope of Work was an oversight, and should have been corrected to state three site visits. Quoters shall hereby make their own pen-and-ink change to the Scope of Work, changing the number of site visits from seven to three. The price schedule is correct, for including three site visits. RESPONSE DATE is extended by 1 calendar day, changed from 5pm (PST) on September 17, 2018 to 6pm (PST) on September 18, 2018.
