Description
The Product Lead, Common Hardware Systems with Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Tactical will host a tactical hardware technical exchange in conjunction with their Program Review to discuss Army product office needs for future tactical commercial off the shelf (COTS) information technology (IT) hardware requirements. This technical exchange occurs on Tuesday, 30 October 2018 on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland at the Top of the Bay. All vendors wishing to be a part of the governmental technical exchange must register no later than 5:00p.m. (EST) October 23, 2018. The goal of the event is to assist industry partners and interested government organizations in identifying and aligning their efforts with future Army tactical COTS IT hardware requirements. This event is meant for a technical audience. Industry partners should provide highly flexible, cost effective, common, and simplified non-developmental commercial information technology solutions improving battlefield interoperability and connectivity. CHS promotes solutions that fit into the converged Mission Command network and enable improvements over time. The Army encourages DoD Approved Product List and IT companies participation in this unique forum, centering on innovative solutions enabling the Army's holistic approach for common hardware (non-ruggedized and ruggedized): servers, computers / peripherals, networking devices, cables / accessories, operational transit cases, network storage, communications devices, modules, kit assemblies, adaptors, vehicle intercom systems, ancillary / consumable items, and plotters. Registration INFORMATION is available at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/program-reviewtechnical-exchange-tickets-50088732748 C4ISR product/program offices will participate in an annual CHS Program Review throughout the day at the venue. Vendor tech exchange times will be from 0900 to 1400 allowing government product/ program representatives to view and discuss products addressing future product gaps and challenges. Government/ vendor private meeting rooms are available if government representatives wish to explore further specific technology ideas - one known government requirement needing further exploration is tactical plotters. The US Army will make every effort to hold the Tactical Hardware Technical Exchange at the times, dates and locations specified. The US Army holds the right to cancel and/or change session event times, dates and locations under certain conditions. These conditions usually include, but are not limited to: inclement weather, event venue cancellation or rescheduling, speaker cancellation or rescheduling, and insufficient number of participants for the event. The US Army holds the right to cancel the event for any reason up to and including the day of the event. In the event that the US Army must cancel the event, the US Army will not be responsible for costs incurred in preparation for the event. In the event of predicted inclement weather, a decision will be made by 5pm on the prior day. If the event is cancelled, the notice will be posted on this website and an email will be sent to all registered participants. CHS POC: William T. Gehrum Common Hardware Systems (CHS) 443-395-2485 william.t.gehrum.civ@mail.mil
