- The following is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Physical Support Branch, Maintenance and Repair Unit, has a requirement for the purchase of 3,000 gallons of #2 dyed off-road diesel fuel (NO BIO-DIESEL). The Maintenance and Repair unit will be operating heavy equipment in mechanical dredging operations and placement site operations in pool 10 of the Mississippi River. This single fuel delivery contract is to supply fuel for the Crane Barge Wade and attending equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 324110, Petroleum Refineries with a size standard of 1,500 employees. The solicitation will be a Request for Quotes (RFQ) This synopsis is not a request for quotes, proposals or bids. This is a notice that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The solicitation due date is an estimate, stated for planning purposes only. The definitive quote due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CD's or hard copies of this notice or the solicitation will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking the fbo.gov website for any update(s) to the Notice.
