- The Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA), intends to award a sole source contract under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available, to Johnson Controls 3601 Eisenhower Avenue, 3rd Floor Alexandria, VA 22304, for onsite maintenance, monitoring, logging, and annual system and inspection of Johnson Control Cameras. The camera system is proprietary equipment manufactured by Johnson Controls, and as such, they are the only source that can provide the specialized services, parts and trained technicians needed for maintenance and support of the maintenance and system services. This action will result in a firm fixed price contract. The period of performance will commence on October 1, 2018 and end on September 30, 2022 if all options are exercised. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561621 - Security System Services (Except Locksmiths) with a size standard of $20.5 million. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFQ will be available for competitive proposals.
