Description
Quad Chart Example RFI LABORATORY EQUIPMENT AND CONSUMABLES INDUSTRY DAY The Expeditionary Medical Systems Team, Program Manager Supply and Maintenance Systems (PM SMS), Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is seeking potential sources and best practice information towards designing, modernizing, updating medical technology and procuring Authorized Medical/Dental Allowance List (AMAL/ADAL) consumables/equipment. MARCORSYSCOM is particularly interested in lighter weight, innovative solutions equaling or surpassing current performance standards which can be directly implementing into the AMAL 618/619 Laboratory Equipment and Consumables. The following capabilities are cited to provide focus for your product submission. Capabilities: •· AMAL 618 shall provide the equipment required to augment USMC MTFs with a medical laboratory capability for testing of biological products as needed by the supported facility. The Laboratory AMALs and their components shall be rugged, able to survive rough handling, and operate reliably in expeditionary environments. Where feasible, ensure commonality with supplies used in garrison environment. •· The AMAL is primarily designed to provide laboratory-testing to support treatment of surgical casualties. Secondarily, they shall also provide the capability for laboratory testing for the treatment of disease non battle injuries (DNBI) patients. •· The AMALs shall provide at a minimum hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology, and miscellaneous laboratory tests/equipment essential to the function of the MTF supported. •· AMAL 619 shall provide associated consumables for the equipment contained in AMAL 618. Expeditionary Medical Systems Team, PM SMS, MARCORSYSCOM will host an Industry Day on 17-18 October 2018, at 105 Tech Parkway, Suite 103, Stafford, Virginia 22556. Individual sessions, held in SYSCOM Conference Room CR (TBD), will be from 0800 to 1600. If selected for Industry Day participation, sessions will not exceed sixty (60) minutes. The Industry Day will consist of a limited number of individual sessions during which companies are able to discuss modernizing medical ideas and information. Companies wishing to participate shall submit up to three items/products each on a Quad Chart (example provided) and two page product information paper for each item containing name, point of contact, phone number, name and title of all attendees, equipment to be presented, test data, product reliability, user feedback with testimonials, and/or company references (website). Upon review of Quad Charts and information papers, vendors will be selected and contacted for appointment date and time. Individual session participation is limited to two (2) persons per company. Only one session (60 Min) will be allowed per company for selected items submitted. Companies wishing to submit more than three items will be address on a case by case basis by CDR Darren Pierce, Team Leader or Mark Urrutic, Project Officer. Initial questions about the RFI may be submitted via email no later than 2:00 p.m., 26 September 2018 to the Contract Specialist, Kim Stone at kimberly.a.stone@usmc.mil. All questions, answers, information discussed, and any other information pertinent to this RFI will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov/). Information considered intellectual property will not be posted. Quad Charts and information papers shall be submitted to Mark Urrutic at mark.urrutic@usmc.mil and CDR Daren Pierce at darren.pierce@usmc.mil with a courtesy copy sent to the Contract Specialist, Kim Stone at kimberly.a.stone@usmc.mil. Quad Charts and information papers are due no later than 2:00 p.m., 3 October 2018. The Berry Amendment will apply to any future procurement actions resulting from this RFI. Inability to attend this Industry Day will not preclude any interested party from responding to future notices regarding this effort. THIS RFI IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEMS/SERVICES, NOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE INFORMATION RECEIVED. NO ENTITLEMENT TO PAYMENT OF DIRECT OR INDIRECT COSTS OR CHARGES BY THE GOVERNMENT WILL ARISE AS A RESULT OF SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES TO THIS RFI AND GOVERNMENT USE OF SUCH INFORMATION.
