- Page 1 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 has a requirement for Laboratory Courier Services. The Contractor shall provide courier service with a company vehicle and a driver to transport laboratory specimens, reagents and supplies daily (Monday through Saturday). Services may also be requested for Sundays, holidays (Federal observed) and other facilities within VISN 6 when it is deemed necessary to support the needs of laboratory operations. The solicitation shall be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5. Place of Performance: The Laboratory Courier Services will be to and from the following locations: W. G. Bill Hefner VAMC, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144 Durham VAMC, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC 27705 Charlotte CBOC, 8601 University East Drive, Charlotte 23213 Charlotte Health Care Center, 3506 West Tyvola Road, Charlotte, NC 28208 Kernersville Health Care Center, 1695-B Kernersville Medical Parkway, Kernersville, NC 27284 Period of Performance: Period of Performance for the resultant contract will be a one (1) year base period and four (4) one year option renewal periods, November 1, 2018 October 31, 2023 in strict accordance with all schedules, specifications, terms, and conditions and provisions of the contract solicitation. Type of Set-Aside: This acquisition is a 100 % Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The applicable NAICS is 492110, Couriers and Express Delivery Services, with a size standard of 1500 Employees. Contract Type: The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Type Contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of the solicitation. A formal Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about September 13, 2018 via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website via https://www.fbo.gov/. All potential offerors are responsible for monitoring and downloading all documents including amendments at the FedBizOpps website without further notification from the Contracting Officer. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the following: SAM database at https://www.sam.gov Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) must be registered and verified in VetBiz.
