The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region, Central Service Area, is conducting a Market Survey/Request for information to improve the Government s understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources. Responses to the Market Survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB 8(a) S), Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB s), etc. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will utilized for planning purposes only. No contract of any kind will be a result of this announcement. The purpose of this Market Survey is to seek competent and qualified contractors to provide hot food service, including vending machine service for the employees and visitors at the FAA s Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center located at 619 West Indian Trail Road, Aurora, IL 60506. The vendor will provide all labor, supplies, materials, equipment (except Government-furnished equipment), etc. to operate a full-service cafeteria. The facility runs 24 hours per day, seven days per week, but cafeteria operation would be operated five (5) days a week, Monday through Friday, during the hours of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Approximately 6:30 AM 10:30 AM for Breakfast, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for Lunch and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for Dinner. There could be approximately anywhere from 400 to 500 people who would utilize the cafeteria services Monday thru Friday. This would be a no cost contract (vendor would not pay the FAA nor would the FAA pay the vendor). Vendor s income would be from food sales only. Abstract: The NAICS code for this project is 722310 Food Service Contractors, with size standard of $38.5M. Interested firms are required to submit the following: -Capability Statement to include: 1) type of services provided by your firm 2) prior contracts with similar type of services provided (please provide details, such as: size of facility, hours of operations, number employees, length of contract, types of food provided, etc.) and 3) number of years in business. -Letter confirming current registration in System for Acquisition Management (SAM). All responses to this Market Survey must be received by close of business on 28-September-2018.
