- United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel Moving and Storage Services Synopsis This is a pre-solicitation notice (synopsis) for a service acquisition in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 5.2, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-100, effective 22 August 2018. All applicable provisions and clauses will be included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice being issued. No solicitation is being issued or requested at this time and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Date : 20 September 2018 Contracting Office Address: 10th Contracting Squadron 8110 Industrial Dr. #200 USAF Academy, CO 80840 Subject : United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) moving and storage services. The USAFA Cadet Chapel provides for the religious and spiritual needs of USAFA Cadets, military service members, their families, and local community. The 49,960 square foot building is home to expressions of worship for multiple faith traditions, including the six religions which regularly conduct services there. Prior to renovation, the contents of the chapel -- furniture, musical instruments, decorations, historical artifacts, works of art, books, and other items -- need to be packed and transported to storage and stored for approximately six (6) years in secure temperature- and climate-controlled storage. Upon completion of the renovation project, all items will be returned to their respective locations by the contractor and unpacked in preparation for re-opening the building. This requirement is for the packing, moving, storage, and return of the entire chapel inventory, excluding certain items. MANDATORY SITE VISIT: Due to the complexity of this requirement, a site visit is anticipated to be held on 10 October 2018 at the Air Force Academy. Quoters will be required to attend the site visit in order to be considered for award. A maximum of two (2) representatives are anticipated to be permitted per vendor. The site visit will include a meet and greet and a walk-through of the Chapel. Each item on the Inventory will be viewed. The site visit is expected to last from 8:00AM to 1:00PM. Further details regarding Site Visit reservations and attendance will be included in the solicitation. Proposed Solicitation Number: FA7000-18-Q-0003 The solicitation is expected to be issued on or after 1 October 2018. The closing date and time for submission of quotes will be contained in the solicitation package, which will be made available on the Government Point of Entry (GPE) website at http://www.fbo.gov at that time. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any quote preparation costs. At this time USAFA is not seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited quotes. Set-Aside: This acquisition will be solicited utilizing Full and Open Competition. The relevant NAICS is 484210 (size standard $27.5M). The proposed contract is anticipated to be awarded to one vendor as a firm-fixed-price purchase order with a base year and five (5) option years.
