- Description
- The Government is seeking sources to provide a Nurse Call System to Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM 87420. The facility is a medical facility of the Indian Health Service (IHS). The Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico is located in the Four Corners area of the United States where New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah meet. Northern Navajo Medical Center is one of five facilities located within the Shiprock Service Unit. The Shiprock Service Unit is the largest service unit of the Navajo Nation. Approximately 80,837 Native Americans (mostly Navajo) are enrolled at Northern Navajo Medical Center. The inpatient load is 29 per day and the outpatient volume averages 600 per day. A variety of services are available including internal medicine, family practice, urgent and emergency care, pediatrics, general surgery, women's health, mental health, respiratory therapy, outpatient rehabilitation services, pharmacy, optometry, dental, public health nursing, social services, health promotion/disease prevention, radiology, laboratory and benefits coordination. The nurse call system features shall include but not limited to: •Assign bed status •Integrate with other departments-i.e. x-ray department, housekeeping •Set alarms and system to address alarm fatigue. •Use for rounding-currently NNMC is doing bedside reporting •Setup system for patients who are high risk for falls. •Badges for nurse that have the capability of call for immediate help i.e rapid response, code blue or patient fall w/o the nurse leaving the patient •Patient call button that is easy to use •Pillow speaker capability and connection to bedside communications systems and associated features •Has capability of tagging equipment in each unit and if unable to find equipment can locate •System can be set up to meet patient fall standards and patient safety •System can track when nurse responds to patient call •System can be set up to address HCAHPS (patient perspective of care) •Central station can be used to identify immediately where patient needs assistance and ability to communicate to patient •System has track record of over thirty year of support for organizations who have purchased •Nurse Tracking Available •Can fully integrated with infant security system •Have HL7 Interface •Have proven Track records of full integration •Have remote access support, 24x7x365 support •Guarantee support of 10 years for software and hardware •Service onsite response time 4 hours •BPISA approvals exist with another IHS agency for remote access •Have the ability for wireless calling. The nurse call system is to be installed into 21 departments varying in priority.
