Description
The purpose of this amendment is to answer 10 questions; slides from the site visit are also attached. Question #1. Is training provided on SAP B1 software? Answer: Per Section C.2. of the Solicitation: "The Government will provide guidance and training in performing SAP B1 operations within the labor categories' functional areas." Question #2. Is machine work performed under this contract? Answer: No. Question #3. What level of soldering skill is necessary? Answer: Most soldering is surface mount; no wave soldering required. Question #4. How frequently is inventory performed? Answer: A cycle-counting method is used whereby inventory is counted daily. HIF also uses an industry standard ABC classification system under which valuable items are accounted for more frequently than less valuable items. Question #5. How many employees are in the hydraulics lab? of these, how many are contractors? Answer: There are three engineering technicians working in the hydraulics lab; two of the three are contractors. Question #6. What is the total number of staff at the HIF? Answer: There are 41 HIF staff, total. Question #7. Are HIF contractors utilized internationally? Answer: The HIF has been able to satisfy international requirements with Government Employees. Question #8. Is this requirement set-aside from open competition? Answer: Yes, this requirement is set aside for Service-Disabled Small Business. Question #9. Does the Government intend to keep the existing contract workforce? Answer: Please refer to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) "Subpart 22.12 "Non-displacement of Qualified Workers Under Service Contracts" Question #10 Is there a Collective Bargaining Agreement associated with this contract? Yes, current contract employees are members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 733. For information concerning CBA's please refer to: FAR 22.1008-2 "Successor Contract Rule." ************Nothing Follows***********
