Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, Vicksburg, MS, has a requirement for Operation, Maintenance, and Repair of Facilities, Equipment, and Government - Owned Property at the Lindy Claiborne Boggs Lock and Dam, the John H. Overton Lock and Dam, the Lock and Dam No. 3, the Russell B. Long Lock and Dam, and the Joe D. Waggonner, Jr. Lock and Dam on the J. Bennett Johnston Waterway in the State of Louisiana. The hours of operation of each individual Lock will be based on a yearly USACE evaluation of the previous 3 years lockage data, plus consideration of additional factors, following Inland Marine Transportation System (IMTS) guidelines. There will be no time off for weekends or holidays. Maintenance may be necessary and shall be performed at any time, day or night, and under any and all weather and river conditions to maintain operational continuity and safety. The Contractor is not responsible for dewatering, diving, the provision of a large floating plant such as towboats and crane barges, or the construction of staging systems. However, the Contractor is responsible for maintenance to lock and dam equipment and facilities that are made accessible on a temporary basis by Government dewatering or Government construction of staging systems. Solicitation W912EE18R0012, with a detailed Scope-of-Work, will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Page at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 25 October 2018. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Offerors are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to posted solicitations. The Proposal due date is estimated on or about 26 November 2018. This acquisition is being conducted as a 100% small business set aside under the NAICS code 561210 - Facilities Support Services with a small business size standard of $38.5 Million. The Government intends to award one (1) Firm-Fixed Price contract with a base year plus four (4) option years.
