Description
Questions for Industry Day RCC Draft PWS RCC Disclaimer The purpose of this non-personal services requirement is to provide the United States Air Force Warrior and Survivor Care Programs by providing Recovery Care Coordinator management and transition as part of the implementation of NDAA 2008 requirements. In addition, the requirement shall provide non-clinical case management support to seriously wounded, ill, and injured Airmen, their families, and/or caregivers at specific military and OCONUS locations. The Recovery Care Coordinator Program is in support of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) to ensure all seriously wounded & medically separated members of the DOD receive complete information and entitlements, as well as access to service component developed procedures to assist wounded personnel in transitioning back into the civilian sector or to duty. The Recovery Care Program includes all Airmen who suffer a serious injury or illness and require long-term care and assistance. The contractor would be required to contact, monitor, provide web-based information/resources, and advocate for the wounded personnel from the time of hospitalization, through recovery and rehabilitation, and for as long as needed after separation and retirement. The completion of this task ensures that each member, his or her family and/or caregivers receives personalized service (face-to-face) during the recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration process, and total advocacy on his or her behalf during the transition process. The government intends to award a single contract action to one prime contractor that may, in turn, oversee recovery care efforts via subcontractors at locations stateside as well as overseas.
