Description
Draft SRD Request Instructions Air Force Life Cycle Management Center B-1 & B-52 Bomber Division, Tinker Air Force Base, is hosting an Industry Days event as a means of conducting market research and supporting contractor data analysis. This will be an unclassified event held on 14-15 November 2018 at Barksdale AFB, LA. The purpose of this event is to allow potential engine vendors that are interested in proposing a commercial-off-the-shelf, in-production engine that meets the requirements of the System Requirements Document (SRD) to receive an updated program strategy and timeline briefing from the Government Program Office. The Government will make a B-52H aircraft and applicable engine support equipment available for measurements, and provide access to select technical data. Photography will not be allowed. Non-engine equipment suppliers are also welcome to attend this event. Note to interested non-engine equipment suppliers: The Air Force has designated Boeing as sole source integrator for the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program following the March 2018 Materiel Development Decision. Companies interested in CERP subcontracting opportunities should work directly with the Boeing POC: Drew Redwine, Supplier Business Manager B-52 CERP, email: william.d.redwine@boeing.com This event will include an unclassified introduction/overview presentation followed by access to the B-52H, support equipment, and technical data. It will be held at a Weapons Loading Training Facility on Barksdale AFB, Bldg 6050. Based on the number of responses to this announcement the Government will establish blocks of time for each contractor which will include: B-52H access for measuring the engine, accessories, and support equipment. Technical Data access for review. Event agenda (daily start / end times are 8:00 am / 4:00 pm): Detailed agenda will be based on vendor responses. Agenda to be posted no later than 7 November 2018.
