- SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSIONOF A SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION IN VARIOUS MILITARY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS FOR THE US ARMY ENGINEER DISTRICTS, ALASKA AND IN NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed item as part of larger construction contracts to be executed on various military installations throughout the Sate o Alaska. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR6.302-1(c), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." ITEM: Knox Box, a high-security key lock box which provides rapid access for emergency responders to reduce time and protect property from forced entry. Key Features: 1. Stores keys, access cards and small entry items 2. Built Knox-Rugged and secure: UL 1037, UL 1610, UL 1332, UL 437 3. Finished with Knox-Coat to better thank standard powder coat 4. Weather-resistant door gasket 5. Hinged door 6. Compliant to National Fire Code (NFPA, IFC, OBC) Vendors who offer similar products are invited to respond to this notice.
