Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Project Number 556-17-022 (Construction): VSC Storage Relocation Basement (B-134) at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC), 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, Illinois 60064 This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). The Construction Contractor shall renovate and convert space located in building #134 basement into a storage and office space to be used by the VCS. The scope of work includes demolition, renovation, and environmental work in accordance with plans and specifications. Work includes cleaning and debris removal. Security consideration will be involved. Work is to be completed within 200 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about November 01, 2018. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The project magnitude range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction); size standard $36.5 million applies. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bids, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is (1) SDVOSB eligible under VAAR Subpart 819.70; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) SDVOSB listed as verified in VIP database at: https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov.
