- Description
- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Strategic Materials, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Metal Bulletin to receive two datasets annually. Metal Bulletin will assist DLA Strategic Materials, formerly Defense National Stockpile Center (DNSC), Directorate of Strategic Planning to acquire vital knowledge of companies and facilities that produce critical and strategic materials across the globe. These datasets are inputted into the Strategic Material Analysis & Reporting Topography (SMART) system, which aggregates data from various sources to provide DLA Strategic Materials' analysis the most accurate view of the global supply chain. Delivery schedules will be two data feed, 1 st feed - March 31, 2019 and 2 nd feed - September 15, 2019. This action are in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with this source and to award this requirement noncompetitively under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 519130, Internet Publishing and Broadcasting and Web Search Portals, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The anticipated award date of the purchase order is no later than November 16, 2018. The prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to be eligible for award. Information concerning SAM registration requirements may be viewed via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov. Contract award will be synopsized in accordance with FAR 5.3, Synopsis of Contract Awards. This notice of intent is neither a request for quotation nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Interested parties may request further information no later than 3:00 PM EST on October 31, 2018 by sending an email to the Contract Specialist, Cecilia Arrington, at cecilia.arrington@dla.mil.
