- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ, intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Kaeser Compressors, located in Fredericksburg,VA, for the manufacture, assembly and delivery of seventeen (17) O2N2 Compressors for the V-22 Aircraft. Kaeser is the only provider that has been able to provide the 02N2 Compressor meeting the requirements for the V-22 aircraft. Kaeser has the experience and technical expertise to provide the required item and has been evaluated and tested with the Depot. The Kaeser 02N2 Compressor meets the form, fit and function for the V-22 Aircraft. All technical data has been proprietary to Kaeser's 02N2 Compressor, the Government does not own the Kaeser's proprietary data. The Government intends to procure the above under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
