As promised, attached are responses to the questions received and the various slide presentations. In addition to the numerous questions received during the NSMV Industry Engagement, MARAD also received and considered valuable feedback received during and separate from the industry engagement on the Guidance Design, including the Capabilities and Requirements, General Arrangement and Outline Specification as it pertains to Main Machinery, Electrical, Structural and Auxiliary Systems. The additional feedback provided helped MARAD ensure that the NSMV Acquisition Strategy is in line with industry best practices, reduces/rebalances risk, removes ambiguity and clarifies the terms of the RFP.
