Description
This Source Sought Notice is seeking qualified manufacturing sources capable of providing the government 710ea of a MOUNT,SPECIAL,AIRCR, NSN: 5340-01-466-7101 with approved sources: BELL HELICOPTER (97499) P/N 901-311-459-103, LORD CORPORATION DBA Aerospace 76005 P/N LB1-1229-16-2 and SKF USA INC 80201 P/N B60-80-289. This solicitation will be unrestricted and require FOB ORIGIN to SDH LANGLEY RD, BLDG 147, BAY A CHERRY POINT, NC 28533. This Source Sought Notice will be followed by a FEDBIZZOPPS Pre-Solicitation Notice for this item and then a Request for Proposal (RFP) under solicitation SPE5EC18R0016. This is a firm fixed price with no quantity option solicited in accordance with FAR 12.5. This part is used on the V-22 Osprey Aircraft. This NSN is a mount that supports the anti-drive assembly. The anti-drive assembly consists of the anti-drive link assembly, anti-drive arm assembly, anti-drive base assembly and a strut assembly. The anti-drive assembly is attached between the anti-drive horn on the non-rotating ring of the swashplate assembly and the PRGB (proprotor gearbox) to prevent the nonrotating ring from rotating, while having a scissors action that allows the swashplate assembly to slide along the drive tube assembly for collective control. Bell Helicopter is the Design Control Source and their drawing is not available from the government. This Source Sought Notice is issued as a means to obtain competitive sourcing for its requirements and is part of Government's market research process. The government is in no way obligated to purchase any information or material submitted by respondents to this Source Sought Notice. If you are interested in becoming a qualified source of supply for this item, Mount, Special, Aircraft, you are required to submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package. Any forthcoming solicitation for this item will not be held up while your SAR package is being evaluated by the Engineering Support Activity (ESA).
