- The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, ABB Inc., 2575 Boule Alfred-Nobel Saint-Laurent, QC H4S 2GI, Canada under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. ABB Inc. will provide and replace two ABB Unitrol 6000 Digital Solid State Static Excitations Systems, at the Carters Pumped Storage Facility Powerhouse in Chatsworth, GA. The New Excitation system shall be configured to match the two existing ABB Unitrol excitation system already installed New excitation systems shall be configured to match the two existing UNITROL excitation systems already installed with the addition of pumping capabilities. New excitation system shall be installed to work with existing facility SCADA system without necessitating modification to facility control system. The ABB Inc. is the only source reasonably available having experience with the existing system and the ABB Unitrol 6000 digital Solid State Static Excitations System. It is anticipated that a Fixed Price contract will be awarded. The NAICS code is 335999 and size standard is 500 employees. There is no solicitation available at this time; therefore do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations and its supplement. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the Government Point of Entry for the release of any solicitation. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement; however, this notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. All capability statements received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this notice will be reviewed by the Government and considered. The notice publication date is 29 October 2018 and the deadline date is 13 November 2018. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
