- Description
- As result of the M870 Industry Day conducted on 24 October 2018, Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS), Program Manager Medium Heavy Tactical Vehicles (PM MHTV) is seeking to engage industry regarding the draft performance specification of the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) for the M870A2-S Medium Heavy Equipment Transporter. This performance specification establishes the performance and design requirements for the Engineering Change Proposal for the M870A2-S Medium Heavy Equipment Transporter. The M870A2-S is designed for operations on Primary and Improved Secondary roads. The ECP will provide for operations across primary, secondary, cross country terrain and trails with a rated payload of 80,000 lbs. with the Prime mover. The prime mover is defined as the Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) Tractor (AMKR16 or MKR16) and the secondary mover is defined as the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) Tractor (AMK31 or MK31). Questions or comments shall be submitted via e-mail to Todd Ingold, todd.ingold@usmc.mil no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time on 14 November 2018 with the subject line "P-Spec - M870A2-S MEDIUM HEAVY EQUIPMENT TRANSPORTER (MHET)." Any subsequent procurement notifications will be posted on the FBO website at https://www.fbo.gov/. All interested offeror(s) are encouraged to register on the FBO website to receive email notifications when information related to this acquisition is updated, or documents related to this acquisition are issued and available for download. The Government requests that all interested parties ensure that they are listed on the "Interested Vendors List" in FBO. As a rule, the Government will not send notifications directly to interested offeror(s), and it is recommended that the interested offeror(s) periodically check this website for updates. The posting of the P-Spec does NOT constitute an RFP nor a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This P-Spec does not commit the United States Government (USG) to contract for any supply or service. Further, the USG is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Contractors are advised the USG will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this P-Spec. The information provided in the P-Spec is subject to change and is not binding on the USG. The USG has not made a commitment to procure any of the items discussed and the release of this P-Spec should not be construed as a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions become USG property and will not be returned.
